Budget 2022
| Budget 2022 was unveiled on 29 October 2021 by the Finance Minister, Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz. Themed “Keluarga Malaysia, Makmur Sejahtera” and formulated based on 3 focus areas (Rakyat’s well-being, Resilient Businesses and A Prosperous and Sustainable Economy). Budget 2022 strives to spur economic growth and improve the well-being of the Malaysian Family while recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. We have extracted in this Highlights, proposals in Budget 2022 which in our view would be relevant from both the business and individual perspectives to our clients for their consideration. The implementation of the proposals would be subject to any clarification and guidance from the relevant authorities and being legislated where applicable.
